General Marshall's Victory Report On the Winning of World War II In Europe

and the Pacific [Philipsburg] (U.S. War Department, 1946-1947, 150 pages)

This was published following the close of the war to provide the public with a general account of the war from beginning to end.  The report was published for individual areas throughout the state, and each of these areas included a list of local men and women who served in the war.  This report covers the town of Philipsburg in Centre County, PA, and nearby areas of Clearfield County.

High School Annual and Directory of Curwensville, PA. 1922

This is the 1922 Yearbook and Annual for Curwensville High School, Clearfield County, PA, and a directory of Curwensville Borough.  The yearbook section is primarily a record of the Senior class for 1950 but also covers the Junior, Sophomore and Freshmen classes as well.  There is an alumni list of the High School graducats from 1886-1921.  Additionally, the Curwensville Public School classes are listed - Patton Building: grades 1-8, Locust Stree Building: grades 1-5, South Side Building: grades 1-7.

The end of the publication includes a residential directory of Curwensville Borough listing all residents (including children), street address and occupation of the primary resident for each location.  There are also a number of ads for local business who patronized the publication.


The Bison 1938 (Senior Class of Clearfield High School, 1938, 134 pages)

This is the 1938 Yearbook for Clearfield High School, Clearfield County, PA.  It is primarily a record of the Senior class for 1938 but as well as some information on the Junior and Sophomore classes.  The end of the publication lists patrons of the yearbook.  It also features handwritten notes, comments, etc., from members of the school classes.
