This publication provides a program of the events associated with its celebration. It also relates a chronological history of the borough, citing important events through its 200 years. Along with the historical information, there are also numerous photographs of Muncy's homes and other buildings, as well as some of its residents participating in the bicentennial celebration.

This is a history of Montgomery, Lycoming County, PA, written for the US Bicentennial in 1976. According to the foreword, the purpose of the publication was an attempt to preserve some of the memories of the area, but also to inspire for the future by looking to the past. It presents a schedule of events associated with the celebrations. It then presents the historical accounts of the area including brief sketches of the surrounding townships. The historical sketch covering Montgomery itself is much more in depth, presenting various accounts from throughout the history of the town and vicinity. Also included are numerous photographs of the area and its residents.
