Meet the Author

Stephen Wasilewski resides in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Kutztown University and Misericordia University he worked in higher education. He now owns and operates a small business, providing vocational support and career development services. The River Between Us is his debut novel.

The River Between Us

I was born and grew up during the Vietnam War. My older brother was drafted but was in college so he didn’t have to serve. I learned so much more about the war when reading this story. If you enjoy reading, this novel won’t disappoint you.

This book will open your eyes to the atrocities faced by Vietnamese families during the war. This historical fiction piece is written around 2 young friends and their families. Its a story that draws you in to the real life struggles of people merely trying to survive. Characters Minh and Mai, have their friendship tested many times and keeps you wanting to turn the page..
I highly recommend this book as it highlights their strength and perseverance.
